Pastor Jon graduated from the University of Wisconsin in December of 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and was married a few months after graduation. He and his wife Beth are the proud parents of Krista (& Tim) and Kathleen (& Chris) and the proud grandparents of Jackson and Graham.
After working as a landscape architect, Jon and Beth moved to DeKalb, IL where they served for 2 years with the Navigators at Northern Illinois University. In 1988 they moved to Palm Harbor, FL where Jon managed a small business. Sensing a call to vocational ministry, they moved back to the Chicago area in 1993 where Jon began attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield. He received his Master of Divinity from TEDS in 1998 shortly after the launch of Hope Community Church.
Pastor Jon also serves as an On-Call Chaplain at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

Hope Community Church is a congregationally ruled church which annually elects Elders who serve overseeing the church and appoint ministry leaders to serve the congregation.
